I received my brand new set of multicoloured aluminium crochet hooks through the post the other day. They are lovely! They would make a great subject to photograph!

I can't crochet as yet, all I have managaged to do so far is basic chain. It is so hard to hold your work! You have to wrap the wool around your fingers and it is do difficult. I have heard that it gets easier the more you do it. The intructions in my book are not that clear, so having to use YouTube videos for help with next steps.

Had a messed up day yesterday - it was a good day until about 8:30pm. We were at my Mom and Dad's house celebrating my neice's 18th birthday and also my hubby's birthday - both their birthdays were yesterday. We had a lovely meal and a lovely time.

After the meal my Dad went to his mother's house to check up on her like he does every night. But then he rang us to say he had found her dead.

So, am feeling sad at the moment. She was the last of my grandparents. I also feel bad for my neice as it's not a good ending to her 18th birthday. And for my Dad, because he found her.
She was 87.

I have loads of projects to do at the moment, including decorating our bedroom. New furniture is being delivered soon (in about a couple of weeks) so we are rushing to strip it out, have new carpet and paint the walls beforehand.
